The founder
Davide Furlotti is the founder and CEO of HairColorGPT. After 20 years as a professional hair colorist between Italy and 5 years in London, he built HairColorGPT end-to-end since 2025 — product, AI orchestration, content, and go-to-market.
Davide trained on Wella, Sebastian, and System Professional, and worked across L’Oréal, Aveda, Davines, Oribe, Kérastase, Moroccanoil, Olaplex, Babyliss, and GHD. In parallel he taught technical colour for over 7 years inside salons, ran a hair-education blog for 3 years, and authored 2 published courses on lightening techniques.
HairColorGPT was born from a simple idea: a digital decision-support tool for hairdressers that did not exist yet. The trigger came when Davide first asked a generative AI a real colour-theory question and got back an answer that was better than expected — accurate, structured, professionally usable. The platform followed.
What we believe
1. Colour decisions deserve better than memory.
30 to 50 percent of salon revenue rides on colour. The technical depth deserves a structured, explainable, brand-aligned process — not a 7-minute guess.
2. AI should support the colorist, not replace them.
HairColorGPT structures reasoning, retrieves brand rules, and remembers client history. The colorist still owns the final call. Always.
3. Privacy is not optional.
Client photos are face-blurred. Client data belongs to the salon. We never train models on customer information.
Status & roadmap
HairColorGPT is a stable MVP, self-funded since 2025. Hundreds of internal test analyses validated. The pilot programme is launching with selected US salons in Q2 2026. Native iOS and Android apps publishing to the App Store and Google Play by end of May 2026.
Our knowledge base covers 124 professional brands, 600+ colour lines, 875+ haircare lines, and 19,703 professional images — multilingual across 9 languages.
